ingredients

• 1 cup gluten-free sourdough starter

• 2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour

• 1/4 cup sugar

• 1 teaspoon salt

• 1/4 cup melted butter (or dairy-free alternative)

• 1/2 cup warm milk (or dairy-free alternative)

• 2 eggs

• 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

• 1 teaspoon baking powder

• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

• Sesame seeds (optional, for topping)

instructions

• Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

• Combine the gluten-free sourdough starter, gluten-free all-purpose flour, sugar, salt, melted butter, warm milk, eggs, apple cider vinegar, baking powder, and baking soda in a large mixing bowl.

• Mix until smooth.

• Divide the dough into 8 equal parts and shape each part into a ball.

• Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them a few inches apart.

• Flatten each dough ball slightly with the palm of your hand.

• If desired, brush the tops of the buns with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

• Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.

• Allow the buns to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
